Orienteering is an exciting and challenging outdoor sport that exercises mind and body.  The aim is to navigate between control points marked on a special large-scale orienteering map created specifically for the activity.   A range of different courses are always set up to provide varied technical and distance challenges for everyone, from young children to people in their 90s.

In competitive orienteering the challenge is to complete the course in the quickest time choosing your own best route.  In a relay event, teams of three from the same club race head-to-head around their courses against each other over three legs.
